I took these images in my garden on a bright sunny April day. The images were taken on a Canon EOS 1d Mk11, using a Sigma 105 macro lens. The images were highlighted by a burst of fill in flash from Canon 550 Ex and a Nissin battery pack. Images were loaded via Aperture with minimal adjustments and sharpening.
I hope you enjoy them. If you do please feel free to like and follow.
Honfleur, a town of painters and Impressionism, possesses that something extra that makes it irresistible. The changing light on the Seine estuary inspired Courbet, Monet, Boudin and many others. The organic market was a delight of colours, smells and textures, even in the autumn showers. Fresh- cooked muscles and a bottle of local wine, completed a fabulous weekend!
The Château of Saumur is located in the Pays de la Loire region, on the historic Kings’ Valley route. Built beginning at the end of the 11th century, the Château of Saumur was in turn a fortress, a manor house, a residence for the town governors, a prison, then an arms and ammunitions depot. The château, overlooking the town and the majestic Loire, was bought from the State in 1906 by the Town of Saumur which, after having restored part of it, used it to set up the town’s museum.
Chinon lies on the north bank of the Vienne, 12km from its confluence with the Loire, and is surrounded by some of the best vineyards in the Loire valley.
